Time Lapse: Datura wrightii blooms
My second attempt at time-lapse photography. This is the first flower to bloom on my Datura wrightii (aka: Jimson weed, Devil’s Apple, Desert Thorny Apple, Moonflower). It smells wonderful! Also had a dutiful honey bee visit just two minutes after the flower was open. The alluring smell of this flower hypnotizes insects and people alike.
