There are actually multiple planets like this within that solar system. This is about an imaginary journey to this planet. The excitement of adventure and space travel as well as the solitary calm of a new, untouched, uninhabited (as far as we know) planet. This work, with the exception of the GarageBand loops is entirely my own.

Enjoy! John john@symphonyofscience.com Lyrics [deGrasse Tyson] We are all connected; To each other, biologically To the earth, chemically To the rest of the universe atomically [Feynman] I think nature’s imagination Is so much greater than man’s She’s never going to let us relax [Sagan] We live in an in-between universe Where things change all right But according to patterns, rules, Or as we call them, laws of nature [Nye] I’m this guy standing on a planet Really I’m just a speck Compared with a star, the planet is just another speck To think about all of this To think about the vast emptiness of space There’s billions and billions of stars Billions and billions of specks [Sagan] The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it But the way those atoms are put together The cosmos is …

In response to a request from another YouTube user, here is video of John Denver, guest host of The Tonight Show, interviewing the internationally aclaimed and charismatic astronomer, science writer and broadcaster Dr. Carl Sagan. This was filmed in 1977. These were two of the most inspiring human beings of the 20th century. Both are sadly missed by fans the world over! Carl Sagan was born November 9, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, US and he died December 20, 1996 in Seattle, Washington, US He was aged 62 at the time of his death. I have previously posted videos of John singing ‘Annie’s Song’ and ‘Calypso’ on the same show.
